11/28/17 There’s a reason world famous is in the title at Gus’s, the chicken is some of the best I’ve ever had. The Memphis leg plate is a Monday special and surprisingly comes in under $10 even with tax. The skin is crispy but with out those jagged edges that can dig into your gums and can ruin a good meal. While a lot of chicken places are going for super spicy Gus’s has just the right amount of kick to enhance the flavor. The meat inside is perfectly cooked, still moist and juicy. The sides are good also, the southern beans have a nice sweetness to them that you can’t usually find in LA.
