Pizza and burgers. One taco away from being the complete collegiate diet. But, pizza on burger? Collegiate dream. Burger 21 is an growing chain, which is definitely something I didn't think I would be writing a report for, but it deserved recognition. I was not expecting greatness from this place, but it played the true lovable underdog in this story. Imagine a really solid slice of greasy pizza on top of a really solid burger. This thing was super flavorful, and hands down the best pizza burger I have had (yes, I've had a ton of pizza burgers). The bun was buttery, and surprisingly not soggy at all, which is a big plus in my book. The patty was medium-well and very well-spiced, and was balanced very well by the sweet marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. The pepperonis, of course, were savory, so overall it was a very savory dish, but the mozzarella and sweet marinara sauce were a good balancing act. Great role players come together to make this burger an all-star and a Bigtime bite. If you're anywhere near a Burger 21, do yourself a favor and check it out.
