Crispy Oysters at Kindred in Davidson, NC. Oysters are one of my favorite foods to eat and I love all types - East Coast, West Coast, raw, roasted, baked, fried - you name it, I’ve had it. Kindred’s Crispy Oysters is the best oyster dish I’ve ever had, and I can never leave this place without running it back!! The oysters are fresh as can be, lightly fried with terrific seasoning, and sit on top of a delicious dill yogurt and Calabrian chili oil garnish. What makes this dish special is that the breading is light enough that you can taste the freshness of the oysters and the combination of the seasoning along with the yogurt and chili oil provides an unexpected burst of flavors as soon as you take a bite. This is a BIGTIME dish at a BIGTIME place! Kindred is one of my favorite restaurants in the country and was named by Bon Appetit Magazine as one of the Top 10 New Restaurants in the United States in 2015. They have a diverse menu of contemporary American dishes with seasonal ingredients. I also love their buttermilk fried chicken salad, BBQ pork sandwich, pasta bolognese, and squid ink pasta with shrimp. Great service by knowledgeable and friendly staff and super nice owners as well.
