The biggest pizza I’ve ever ordered – The Full Size Rebel can be found at Naked City Pizza. Located near Spring Mountain Road, Naked City Pizza can be found inside a dive bar in China Town. You’d never imagine there would be a pizza spot in the run down building it’s hidden in and there isn’t any visible welcoming signage that lets you know about Naked City Pizza. Inside you’ll feel a very dark atmosphere and when placing your order you walk-up to a tiny window with a sliding door, and in the back you can see the small compact kitchen. All signs leading up to the pizza = sketchy. Once the pizza arrived on the 13” x 9” cookie baking tray, I was salivating for my big time bite. I’m big on portion sizes, and this pizza tray dang near took up the entire table space. Generous on the toppings, they included – pepperoni, in-house hot Italian sausage, ham, salami, marinated roma tomato, sweet basil, red sauce, and mozzarella. Two words to describe this monster = greasy and salty, just the way a pizza should be. The thin crust gave it a nice balance overall with a good crunch. The Full Size Rebel runs at $37.95 and is actually a food challenge they offer, which can be tackled by up to two players given a 30 minute time limit. This place was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and I’d give it an overall rating of 8/10.
