Blazin Cajun Seafood is a new Cajun style seafood restaurant located in Duluth, GA next to an assortment of asian eateries. What makes this place stand out is the various types of seafood they present, mainly the Steamed Conch cooked Vietnamese style. Conch is fairly under appreciated by most seafood lovers, but this dish should make them search for it more often. For this dish, parts of the conch meat is separated from the shell and stir fried with chili oil, fish sauce, green onions, peanuts and butter. The meat is then placed back into the shell and steamed so that the ingredients are mingled together with the salt water shell. The flavor has the saltiness from the shell and fish sauce, along with the creaminess from the butter and chili oil. The conch meat is cut to a perfect size for chewiness and is coated nicely by all the surrounding ingredients. The peanuts add a little crunch factor and the dish is served with sides of watercress which is a peppery herb that goes well with the butter, oil and fish sauce mixture.
