The Smokin Pig is located only a few miles away from the Clemson University campus. Great place for a post-game meal! The brisket was tender and one of the better cuts I’ve had in the Carolinas. Hard to beat the elite Texas BBQ joints at brisket, but this place was still good. The sides were what really made it a great meal for me. The plate comes with two sides, so I chose the sweet potato crunch and banana pudding. The sweet potato crunch has pecans mixed in, so it adds a nice, crunchy texture to the mashed sweet potatoes. The banana pudding was easily one of the best I’ve had. It was very rich and creamy compared to your standard pudding. The dinner roll was great too! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the Clemson area.
