12/27/17 Anytime I'm headed down to New Orleans, there's one place on my mind. Fat Cow. This place would crack the top 3 in my recommended restaurants in Louisiana, especially when it comes to burgers. I've tried most of the menu and have yet to be disappointed. First, the duck fat fries. I can't think of a better pairing for this fantastic burger than these. Topped with parmesan and fried with duck fat, these are the quintessential burger joint fries. The smoke stack burger is my usual choice here. Smoked cheddar cheese, apple smoked bacon, fried onion straws, sweet and tangy bbq sauce, all on a delicious patty in between two fluffy semi-sweet buns. It's the burger of my dreams. Honestly, there aren't many burgers that stack (puns) up to this one. The patty is fantastic, always cooked to order and flavorful. The cheddar gives a nice sharp taste to the burger and is met with the wonderful sweet and salty taste of the thick crispy strips of bacon. This is all met with a nice crunchy sweet fried onions and finished with the sweet and tangy flavors of the bbq sauce. It all comes together to form this wonderful burger that's tough to finish, even when you get it in the 'petite' size (forgive me, but I can barely finish the smallest size). This is a Bigtime burger at a Bigtime joint. Also, if you go and you don't get a shake your first time, you are seriously missing out. They have some phenomenal shakes.
