Always wanted to try a kronut and this was my first one @ Coco and the Director. Heard about them and seen them around enough, it was finally time for me to be the judge. Imagine a dominant breed croissant and a donut had a child and you’ll be blessed with a kronut. I’d say this was 80% croissant based with three rings of donut formed circles stacked spirally on top of each other. In a nutshell, it’s basically a deep fried, buttered up, fluffy & flaky version of an elephant ear. Decent treat, but nothing to die for. Pastry and croissant lovers can appreciate. On the pricy scale marked @ $6.50 per kronut. Made fresh and from scratch daily by a local baker named Sugar Man (Instagram @sugarrmann).
