Anytime you have crispy rice or wagyu beef no wrong can be done. Putting them together makes it a surefire dish to order. The crispy rice is browned to perfection, much like the coveted bottom layer that crisps up in a rice cooker. It is also seasoned quite nicely with a hint of vinegar that feels nice on the palate. As for the wagyu it was cooked a perfect medium which is hard to do with such a small cut. The heat of the jalapeno with the asian pesto cements its true asian-fusion glory. Only thing keeping this from a higher rating is the price point.
