Coquine is my third favorite restaurant. The co-owners are Chef Katy Millard and front of the house and sommelier Ksandek Podbielski. The major strength of Coquine is execution. I have never had a poorly executed dish in the many times that I have gone there. Katy is a perfectionist and her kitchen team is incredibly strong. The only minor negative is that some times I wish her food were more exciting, but her dishes are so tasty, it is not a very big deal. Coquine is like Tim Duncan----so fundamentally sound but not very sexy. Look at that porcini carpaccio---looks good, right? It was.
