Tuna Tartare at BLT Steak in Charlotte, NC. This is my go-to appetizer at BLT Steak, a terrific restaurant located in the Ritz Carlton in uptown Charlotte. I love a good tuna tartare, and BLT has a simple, yet Bigtime version. Fresh sashimi grade tuna is served on top of a bed of diced avocados along with crispy shallots and a soy-lime dressing. With a trace of both olive oil and mustard oil, the tartare is topped with a garden cress herb and all the ingredients work well together to provide a light, refreshing, and flavorful start to your dinner. I also love their lobster salad, sea bass, Dover sole, and NY strip steak. BLT has a diverse menu to satisfy all palates and is open for lunch and dinner. On weekends, it's open late (11 pm) to accommodate diners after games.
