Tom kha gai always a solid choice at any Thai place. The Thai House in Charlotte takes it to another level. Sliced chicken breast simmered in a silky coconut broth with tomatoes, mushrooms, crushed chili pepper, cilantro, lime juice, etc. A very spicy and savory soup but tempered perfectly by the sweetness of the coconut milk. The fresh mushrooms always one of my highlights here. The tender and sweet chicken giving it some solid substance. The soup normally comes white in color but they gave us their color variation in red. I am not sure what they added here but it worked perfectly!
