O-ku is a hip sushi spot in South End Charlotte. My wife and I got some drinks, sushi rolls and shared plates, all of which were good, but for me, the best part of the meal was the tuna tart. The base of the dish is a crunchy cracker-like disk, which is then topped with an awesome truffle cream, some fresh tuna sashimi, and a little bit of fresh greens on top. The star of dish is the truffle cream - it added a really fresh, smooth burst of flavor, sandwiched between the crispy crust and meaty fish. This tart is really simple, but each ingredient is well done, making for a yummy, well balanced dish. Definitely worth getting if you find yourself at O-ku, which has locations in Charleston and Atlanta.
