I'm a big fan of all Jean Georges restaurants, but this one takes the cake. This French establishment is serving exquisite dishes predominately locally sourced. It's situated right near Central Park and easy to get to. The menu is Prix Fixe, but you can select different options to your liking. The dish that stood out to me the most was the Crab Claw, Trumpet Mushroom and Artichoke Gnocchi. The gnocchi itself was soft and pillow like- it literally melted in your mouth. The trumpet mushrooms were rich in flavor and perfectly salted. There was a nice broth at the bottom of the dish that complimented all ingredients. The overall dish was light, but pleasantly filling. For me the highlight was the supple crab claws that were sweet and decadent. The course before was the Market Mushroom Salad that was also divine. If you have the chance to dine here, make sure to request reservations a month in advance and check out their rather strict dress code.
