While there are plenty of delicious dishes at the incredibly hot Liholiho Yacht Club, their Baked Hawaii is the one that takes the cake (no pun intended). Refined and elevated Hawaiian food in a upscale casual setting. Reservations open a month in advance at midnight and immediately book up outside of 10pm res.
The Baked Hawaii is their version of something similar to a Taiwanese Pineapple cake. Vanilla chiffon has caramelized pineapple ice cream layered into it and then spiraled marshmallow like topping. The way the dish is shaped, every spoonful you get every ingredient. The sweet chewy texture of the marshmallow plays wonderfully with the charred savoriness of the tropical pineapple and the chiffon holds it all together textually.
Must order, not just because it's beautiful, but it's also delicious.
